The hardest part of having natural hair was liking it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my hair! But sometimes, I would feel like I would get more “attention” if my hair was straight. Embracing my kinky curls and loving my texture is something I have to remind myself to do daily.

I love being organic! I use yogurt to deep condition my hair and mud to cleanse it. I find it fascinating that foods like honey, molasses, and even cinnamon are healthy for my hair!

I am dreaming about styling my hair into Havana Twists. Havana Twists are a gorgeous! The best part: they are a protective hairstyle! You can’t go wrong with a beautiful hairstyle that protects the hair too. (:

Ever since I saw her music video “Put Your Records on,” I have been a fan of Corinne Bailey Rae. I love her crinkly curls too! I remember one time a woman told me that I looked like her. It was one of the best compliments I ever received about my hair!

Day 2: The Hairstyle You Like The Least
Being a natural hair guru, I am fond of a variety of natural hairstyles. However the one hairstyle that I can’t seem to get down is the Bantu knot out. I think it’s lovely and perfectly beautiful when executed correctly. But alas, it just isn’t for me.

I adore the twist out, hands down. It is one of the easiest natural hair styles to do and when fluffed-out it looks magnificent. The best part is that no one does their twist outs exactly alike, so there is plenty of room for variety and style.
