Time management can be a difficult thing to master when it comes to balancing work, class, and styling your hair. Everyone wants to save time— that’s a no brainer, but the big question is how do you do it? I know because I’ve been there and believe me it’s not fun. But before you pull an all-nighter finishing up that two-strand twist out, or throw “something” together before you hit the door, keep these hair survival tips in mind.

Did I say I love this product? The texture is a creamy, sunshine orange hue with a delicious mango smell. If that’s not enough, it works incredibly well when it comes to lightly moisturizing the hair and providing a soft styling hold. Did I mention the lovely fragrance? Every time I open Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter, I am greeted with a tangy mango aroma. I can’t get enough of it! Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter works expertly with the Burdock Root Butter Cream and Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee in creating bouncy twist outs and soft, bushy afro puffs.
Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter (for my hair) is…
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Mango Butter and Oil Blend, Behenyl Esters, Cetyl Alcohol, Soy Extract, Plant Wax, Phthalate Free Fragrance.
Price: $14.00
Size: 5oz
Claim: Use this thick, rich butter to soften and maintain twists, braids and loose hair! Ideal for dry, highly porous hair! Use as a body butter too! Softens thick, extra dry hair with an ultra rich blend of Pure Olive Oil, Mango Butter and Rice Bran Oil! A touch of plant wax helps reduce frizz and smooths edges and soy extract adds humectancy. Use sparingly. A little goes a long way.
Fragrance: It smells divine! The Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter has a mango tang. It smells very similar to the mango fruit. The fragrance fades slightly when applied to the hair strand.
Consistency/Color: The Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter is thick and creamy. When rubbed between the fingers, though, the product melts easily and smoothes onto the hair. The color is a bright orange like the color of a ripe mango.
Results: Overall, I think the Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter is a good choice for styling thick, kinky hair. It uses the perfect amount of oil mixed with mango butter to moisturize and add shine to the hair. I use the Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter along with the Burdock Root Butter Cream and the Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee to style my twist outs and afro puffs for long-lasting moisture during the Spring/Summer months. The Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter has replaced my Shea Butter mix in my regimen. I will definitely be repurchasing this product again!

I give this product 4 out of 5 sunstars!
** I ordered my Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter from Sage Naturalceuticals for 14.95 plus S&H. The price is roughly the same price as it would be if I ordered from Qhemet Biologics directly. The shipping was fast!
DING, DING, DING! The results are in!
Here are the results from the second poll for the Curly Hair Photoshoot. Thanks for the input! (: It seems like the top two hair styles lovesunshine viewers are looking forward to are the Afro and the Twist Out.

Here is CollegeCurlies with a simple tutorial on how to create the perfect Afro Puff. I really like this video because it is very short— like less than 1 min! Also, there are not a lot of materials required to create this style. Have fun!
